In response to the needs of veterinary services and the requirements of the European Commission concerning the detection and identification of selected Salmonella strains, we have developed three Rapid Identification Tests (SIT) for the identification of selected Salmonella strains:

The kits contain antisera for the detailed identification of the recommended strains, as well as specially developed antisera for phase inversion, intended to inhibit strongly expressed phases and induce weakly expressed phases of flagellar antigens.

SIT kits enable:

• rapid identification testing based on ready-to-use schemes
• effective inhibition of dominant phases using specially prepared antisera
• bacterial culture on a dedicated medium supporting enhanced expression of flagellar antigens
