Mastix project

"Development of immunological veterinary medicinal products for the prevention and treatment of dairy cow mastitis, alternative to conventional chemotherapeutic agents and antibiotics” 2020-2023

The project was financed under the programme of the National Centre for Research and Development, Szybka Ścieżka (Smart Growth) 2014–2020. The project was carried out in a consortium with the Institute of Animal Reproduction and Food Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Olsztyn.

The aim of the project was to develop, confirm the effectiveness of, and introduce to the Polish market two veterinary products for the prevention and alternative treatment of mastitis, a disease that represents a global challenge in dairy cattle farming and milk production. The project used IMMUNOLAB’s know-how in the development of immunogenic bacterial antigens and the technology of purifying IgY antibodies from chicken egg yolks.
